Here's a little background information about me: I spent the last ~10 years studying the archaeology and history of ancient Greece, while working on a Ph.D in Classical Archaeology at SUNY Buffalo. While working on my degree, I got involved in a project to digitize and annotate archaeological field notebooks, where I started playing around with coding and web development. After finishing my degree, I decided to switch fields and pursue a career in development!
I'm originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. While studying archaeology, I've lived in Philadelphia, Boston, Buffalo, and Athens, Greece. Most of my archaeological fieldwork was in Athens, where I worked at the
Athenian Agora Excavations. Some of my hobbies include cooking (particularly pasta and seafood dishes), gardening (both indoor and outdoor), snowshoeing, fishing, and traveling.
A quirk about me: My wife and I have two immigrant cats. While living in Athens, we took in two stray kittens and brought them to the US when we moved back.
Sophie and Nola love their home here in the states!
